The charity depot has been started running in autumn 2019 and has been initiated to respond the requests of people ringing the HELPline.
Our aim is to use those objects that aren`t needed anymore in the household but can be still helpful for someone. In the evidence of the HELPline there are more families who would accept and use objects from the Charity Depot. The Solidaris Association is happy to mediate, advertise the offer on any community page to let people find any objects they are
looking for.
Due to the lack of space the charity depot in functioning virtually on our facebook page of the Solidaris Association where you can find objects, household items, blood pressure monitor, wash machine etc. If there is no successful exchange of the items within 2 weeks, we place the unwanted objects to our depot in Bede, Maros county.
Our long-term plan is to create a depot in Targu Mures city centre where people can bring their unwanted objects, household items, furnitures, toys, clothes etc. Waste is a big problem in our society so we are trying to stay environment friendly as much as possible and help people reuse their unwanted objects.
